Take some time to think about, answer, and act on these questions: If I am honest, is my relationship with God my number one priority or is it just a relationship of convenience? What things in my life are more important to me than God? How much time do I really spend intentionally with God, each day and each week, in worship, Bible reading, and prayer? What is currently keeping me from having an intimate relationship with God: other people, confused priorities, “stuff,” busyness, something else? Do I really believe that my relationship with God can make a difference in my life and in the world? If so, how am I seeing this played out in my life? If not, what do I need to do to have a conviction about this truth? What am I currently doing to develop or grow in my relationship with God? What resources are available to me to help me grow in my relationship with God? What step do I need to take to take advantage of these resources? How can I develop a dependence on God and his power for my life? Memorize this verse: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” —Luke 10:27
